  • Power of attorney

Step 3 / 5

Articles of association

The company's constitution, the articles of association, is prepared in MERSİS, the central registry system, and signed before the trade registry office.

  • Trade name and scope of business
  • Capital and share structure
  • MERSİS entry
  • Signature at the trade registry

Step 4 / 5

Registration and announcement

The company is registered with the trade registry and announced in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette. This is when it gains legal personality.

  • Trade registry registration
  • Trade Registry Gazette announcement

Step 5 / 5

Starting operations

With tax office registration and a bank account, the company is ready to trade. This is also the right moment to file your trademark application.

  • Bank account
  • Trademark application (TÜRKPATENT)

Incorporation complete

Your company is ready to operate.

The scope and timing of each step depend on the company type, the shareholders' nationality and the line of business. We map out your specific plan in the first consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a foreigner own 100% of a company in Turkey?

In general, yes. Foreign individuals and companies can establish and fully own limited and joint stock companies in Turkey on the same terms as Turkish investors. Certain regulated sectors have additional requirements, which we check at the start.

Limited company or joint stock company?

A limited company is simpler and suits most small and medium businesses. A joint stock company offers more flexibility for share transfers and outside investment. We recommend the right structure based on your plans.

Do I need to travel to Turkey?

Most steps can be completed on your behalf with a power of attorney. We tell you in advance if any step requires you to be present.

What documents will I need?

Typically a passport for individuals, or corporate documents for company shareholders, apostilled and translated, plus a power of attorney. The exact list depends on your situation.
